MEASE RIDE: 8:00 a.m. from Mease Hospital, Dunedin, parking lot, far SE corner. Leaves out of MEASE Hospital Dunedin, parking lot, SE side, tempo pace 22-24 mph with faster intervals. Moderate to brisk pace, depending on attendance and groups… Usually 35-40 miles. Route determined by group. MORNING SHOW N GO RIDES
POF GROUP : Updated 9/3/18: 8:00 a.m. for Tuesday and Thursday morning rides. This will remain the start time during Daylight Savings. For Standard time, the start time goes back to 8:30.– Ride starts promptly! Meets at the Boot Ranch Publix parking lot on East Lake Rd (Shoppes at Boot Ranch, 500 East Lake Road, Palm Harbor, FL 34685). Tuesday and Thursday morning rides are usually to Starkey Park, unless the group decides on something else, ride is usually 40 miles. This is a no drop ride, with a 17 - 19 mph pace.
This ride will always start at 8:00 a.m. on Sundays.
WEDNESDAY 8:00 a.m. from the Trail at the Boxcar, Downtown Dunedin. Tempo pace 22-24 mph with faster intervals. Typically led by Mike Ward (previously of Flatland Cyclery, and now with Chainwheel Drive). Moderate to brisk pace, depending on attendance and groups… Usually 35-40 miles. Route determined by group. Not an official Suncoast Cycling Club ride – please check with Chainwheel Drive to confirm details.
EVENING SHOW N GO RIDES
Tuesday and Thursday: 5:45 and 6 p.m.
5:45 P.M. Suncoast Group B/B- RIDE – Pace 18-22 mph. Typically 25-35 miles. B/B- Pace, with some variation. Attempt to make this a “no drop” ride.
TUESDAY: LEAVES FROM CHAINWHEEL DRIVE ON DREW ST.
THURSDAY: LEAVES FROM PUBLIX PARKING LOT, CURLEW RD & ALT. 19 AT THE PINELLAS TRAIL
5:30 P.M. – TRAINING GROUP. Leaves from Publix parking lot, Curlew Rd. and Alt. 19 at the Trail. FAST TRAINING RIDE, usually north to Trouble Creek, with intervals and sprints. 24-30+ mph pace, with faster intervals. LIGHTS REQUIRED FOR SHORT DAYLIGHT DAYS. Not an official Suncoast Cycling Club ride.
Wednesday: 6:30 p.m. “TRAINING” Level Ride. A to A+ pace Leaves from Lansbrook Community Park, at the corner of Lansbrook Parkway and Highpoint Drive, although some leave early from the parking lot at Publix on East Lake Rd. in Palm Harbor and warm up prior. Not a club ride — local show n go ride — an opportunity for the faster riders to stretch their legs a bit. (or should I say pedals?) 20 – 30 miles. Loops with intervals & sprint zones. LIGHTS REQUIRED FOR SHORT DAYLIGHT DAYS. Not an official Suncoast Cycling Club ride.
Wednesday: 6:00 p.m. “Belleair Multi-Loop” Ride. MEMBER ORGANIZED INVITATION RIDE: Start will be from the beach side at Belleair Beach City Hall, (444 Causeway Blvd, Belleair Beach, FL 33786); turn around at Sunset Blvd on top of the Bluff and back to City Hall. Regroup at the end of each 2.5 mile loop. 1st loop leaves at 6 PM for a short warm-up then on to the loops. The last (10th) loop starts around 8 PM with stop at the top for sunset, then optional trip for food and libation afterward. VISIT THE FB PAGE FOR MORE INFO AND WEATHER UPDATES. Email Bruce for info. PASCO: Show n Go Rides
These are NOT Suncoast Cycling rides, but posting as a courtesy to our Pasco members. THIS INFO MAY NOT BE CURRENT – PLEASE INQUIRE BELOW.
WEDNESDAYS 5 p.m. – Leaves from Starkey Park in the “car park” next to the Trail. There are restrooms & water. Pace is a steady 18-21 – usually an out & back for approx. 40 miles. Typically a no drop at this pace, but if someone falls off, they will be picked up on the return leg. For more info contact Ray Park.
